Max Verstappen is ready to return to the Nordschleife once again. Up next for the Dutchman will be the big one. Verstappen’s Sunday NLS race did not end as planned at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. The Dutchman was involved in several good battles and looked comfortable in the lead, but in the end, the #3 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo suffered technical issues.

At a certain point I had a lot of front-end grip in the fast corners. And then later in that lap, a lot of vibrations suddenly started. At one point the splitter began to flap really hard. Then I knew immediately that the splitter had broken. A bit strange. I think you notice very quickly if you’ve tapped someone or not. But I didn’t touch anyone, so I don’t know how that happened,” Verstappen explained what happened to Viaplay.

After driving in various NLS rounds so far in 2026, up next for the Dutchman and his team is the ADAC 24h
Nurburgring.
There, Verstappen will share the #3 Mercedes-AMG with Daniel Juncadella, Jules Gounon and Lucas Auer.
The weekend will begin on 14 May for Verstappen Racing at the Nurburgring Nordschleife. The 24-hour race will start on 16 May.
