The Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix 2025 at the iconic Imola circuit was a significant boost for Red Bull Racing with Max Verstappen's victory. However, the Dutchman emphasises that there is still a lot of work to do to achieve a similar result in Monaco.
Imola was the scene of a thrilling race, where Verstappen, after a convincing overtaking maneuver on Oscar Piastri in the opening round, clinched his second victory of the season. With Monaco as the next stop on the calendar, the Red Bull driver reflects on the race weekend through the narrow streets of Monte-Carlo.
"I mean, I really enjoy driving in Monaco, but it's not the strongest track for us with the car we have, but we'll see what we can do," Verstappen told the media including GPBlog. "We have work to do, but I think it's been a very positive weekend for us".

Verstappen also expects a challenging weekend in Spain

A week after the Monaco Grand Prix, the Spanish Grand Prix is scheduled at the Barcelona circuit. Verstappen also cautiously looked ahead to the last race weekend of the triple header. "Barcelona normally has a lot of fast corners, which is of course great. Lots of tire wear too, which will again be crucial to get under control. And right now, I obviously don't know how that's going to turn out for us."
The four-time world champion concludes not to get ahead of things too much. "For now, I'm just very happy with this weekend, and we'll go from there," said Verstappen.
