'Verstappen deserves to be world champion'

Max Verstappen is preparing for a title fight with Lewis Hamilton in the coming months. The Dutchman is currently eight points behind his rival, but the battle is far from over.

This is also known by Ralf Schumacher, who is impressed by Verstappen's performance. The former racing driver has seen Red Bull Racing put out an excellent car this season, but has also noted that Verstappen is more mature than in recent years. As a result, the driver has a good chance of winning the world title.

Schumacher saw him perform well again in the last race. "You could see he was having a hard time in Budapest, but compared to his teammate he was really getting everything out of the car," he told Formula 1 Magazine. "Verstappen has made a big step forward this year, mentally as well. You can see that in the way he drives. He still pushes hard, but drives smarter."

Verstappen's chances make Formula 1 exciting again, according to Schumacher. "It's good that we have such a battle again and I'm also very happy to see others win. Especially Max, he deserves to be world champion."
