Verstappen blasts Racing Bulls drivers as 'morons' in furious Hungarian GP radio outburst

The frontrunners appear to struggle with backmarkers throughout the race on Sunday, with Oscar Piastri tangling with the Williams of Carlos Sainz, before he later retired from the race with a gearbox issue.

Verstappen, who finished second despite his own struggles during the race, like Piastri, was annoyed with the backmarkers and made his feelings known over team radio.

A clip on social media shows Verstappen behind the Racing Bulls of Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad. Instead of slowing down to let the four-time world champion through, the pair went side by side going into a corner, costing Verstappen some crucial time in his fight for a podium position.

In the clip, Verstappen is heard berating Lindblad and Lawson over the Red Bull team radio, not taking a softer approach despite them driving for the sister team. A frustrated Verstappen remarked: "Oh, they should get a penalty this is f***ing ridiculous these morons. My god."

Speaking after the race, Verstappen was left puzzled at how he finished second in the race, despite not sounding happy with his car during any of his messages over team radio.

Reflecting on his race, Verstappen told media, including GPblog: "I was still struggling with the same things as yesterday, the car was just extremely oversteery, just degging quite hard at one point as well. But I do think that in the start moving forward, was of course making our first stint possible.
