Toto Wolff was as firm and honest as ever summing up his teams Canadian Grand Prix as a “sh*t result” despite a podium and a fifth-place finish. Hamilton has won six out of 11 races in Canada including the previous three.
Mercedes still remain at the top of the constructors' championship whilst Hamilton has dipped down to second. Wolff was howling in his post-race interview.
“This is a sh*t result for us. I have to put it like that. It is a strong track for us, but all weekend long we have made little mistakes from the start,” Wolff said.
“The only feeling I have is that we have to wake up. We fall behind in every respect. This a track where we should have maximised points.”
The French Grand Prix is the first of the new triple header coming into the calendar this season. And entering a vital part of the year, Wolff knows too well how he needs to get his team in top form.

“We need to reflect in the right way, understand where we can find more performance and respond in Paul Ricard in two weeks time,” added Wolff.
