Formula 1 drivers are currently enjoying the summer break, and photos have already emerged showing how they’re spending their holidays. Some drivers even have yachts at their disposal. In this article, we take a look at the yachts owned by F1 drivers and team principals.
It’s well known that Max Verstappen has a yacht named Unleash the Lion. It’s a Super Sport 33 from the Mangusta series. While the exact price Verstappen paid is unknown, the base model starts at around twelve million euros. The yacht can accommodate up to twelve guests.
Verstappen’s yacht has been the subject of persistent rumors in recent months. The boat was spotted in Sardinia, where Toto Wolff’s yacht was also present, fueling speculation of a possible team switch. In the end, it was confirmed that Verstappen remains loyal to Red Bull.

Toto Wolff’s yacht was also in Sardinia

Toto Wolff also has a yacht at his disposal. The Mercedes boss owns a yacht measuring an impressive 50 meters in length and 9 meters in width. Among Formula 1 team principals, he is the only one with a yacht. It is a Mangusta 165, built by the Overmarine Group and purchased by Wolff in 2023.
Wolff’s yacht has also been frequently discussed in recent months, as it was reportedly spotted in Sardinia at the same time as Max Verstappen’s yacht. This fueled rumors of a possible switch to Mercedes, but Verstappen ultimately remained loyal to Red Bull.

George Russell joins the club

George Russell recently became the owner of a yacht. The British driver has purchased a Pershing 6X. On Pershing’s X account, Russell was seen attending the manufacturer’s 40th-anniversary celebration.

The yacht is significantly smaller than those of Max Verstappen and Toto Wolff. Nevertheless, Russell has little to complain about. He paid €3.6 million for a yacht that features three bedrooms, and its top speed is considerably higher than that of Verstappen’s and Wolff’s yachts.
