Formula 1 is all the rage, and many (super-wealthy) owners or groups would want to have their own team. Haas F1 has also seen its fair share of interested parties. To no avail, as GPblog reports. When
Gene Haas founded his own Formula 1 team in 2014, he was called crazy. Who starts an F1 team in a sport that is far from booming? But more than ten years later, Formula 1 is indeed doing just that, and plenty of parties would like to own their own team.
Over the past few months, numerous parties have approached Haas with offers to buy Gene Haas' team, as revealed by team principal
Ayao Komatsu in conversation with, among others,
GPblog.
"I don't know everything, but in the last 18 months, he had numerous offers to buy the team. He's not interested," the Japanese explains.

'Gene Haas is happy with his team'
According to Komatsu, Haas does not want to cash in on a sale, but rather aims to achieve success with the team that bears his name. "He's really enjoy being the owner of the F1 team, currently one out of 10, from next year, one out of 11. That's such a privileged position to be in."
"And he came in at a time where F1 wasn't like this. And he stuck with us during such a difficult period of COVID. And then now he's enjoying it," says Haas' team principal.
