Former McLaren driver
Daniel Ricciardo left Formula 1 in 2024, after he was replaced by Liam Lawson at Racing Bulls following the Singapore Grand Prix.
The Australian driver had the iconic celebration of a 'shoey', which he first did now 8 years ago on the podium at the German Grand Prix.
Ricciardo's former team, McLaren, also celebrated their one-two finish at the
British Grand Prix.
Originally, it seemed like
Oscar Piastri was on pace to win at Silverstone, but because of a 10-second time penalty he received for
'erratic braking', he was relegated to P2 behind his teammate,
Lando Norris.
After the British GP, using Norris' shoe, him, Piastri and CEO
Zak Brown all did the 'shoey'. After they finished, the Australian driver also launched the shoe itself into the crowd. See the team's celebration below!
