Carlos Sainz's father, Sainz Sr., is once again taking on the Dakar Rally. The Williams driver recreated an old image for the occasion.
"Good luck at the Dakar, Dad. Proud of you for the way you keep pushing and raising the bar! Vamos!"
- Carlos Sainz Jr.Carlos Sainz Sr. is a well-known rally driver, and a multiple-time World Rally Champion and winner of the famous Dakar Rally. He last won the cars title back in 2024, and this year, he once again competes for Ford Racing sponsored by Red Bull.
F1 driver Sainz Jr. posted an emotional message on social media before his father takes on his next Dakar Rally.
He wrote: "I have watched you take on this challenge for years. I experienced a small taste of it last summer and my admiration towards you and what you do keeps increasing. Good luck at the Dakar, Dad. Proud of you for the way you keep pushing and raising the bar! Vamos!"
Along with that, he also shared two photos, one from when he was younger and another from when he visited his father a couple of years ago at the event.

Sainz Sr. knows son can become an F1 world champion
The rally driver believes his son is talented enough to be crowned Formula 1 world champion one day.
He explained: "I think he does have the talent to achieve it. He just needs to be in the right place at the right time; everything has to align perfectly.
