Sainz has finished his first day at work as a Ferrari driver: "I cannot wait"

Carlos Sainz has finished his first working day as a Ferrari driver. The Spaniard was in Maranello on Friday to get used to his surroundings ahead of the 2021 season.

"It’s my first time in red, which as you can imagine is pretty special," says Sainz according to The Race. "It’s a special day for me in general and probably a day I will never forget. I’m fully ready, fully motivated, totally refreshed for this new challenge."

Sainz says he wants to take a rest over Christmas to fully recharge his batteries by 2021. "But you can be sure I’m going to be here pretty early in January to keep pushing, to keep helping this team to move forward and as quick as possible in the best direction. I cannot wait, to be honest."
