Rosberg and Hamilton joined by Button in durable racing class

Extreme E is a new electric class, in which a kind of Dakar Rally is held with electric cars. In the middle of beautiful nature these cars race towards victory, but above all towards a more sustainable future. The race class is all about the environment.

The races that are scheduled are impressive. The start is in the desert of Saudi Arabia in April, but there will also be racing in the ocean, the Amazon, on a glacier and also in the snow on Greenland. Reason enough for Button, after Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton, to enter this class with his own team JBXE.

''There are so many positives to this championship and I'm really excited about it. I'm looking forward to racing against the best in the world, in places that most people have never been," Button told Sky Sports.
