Old F1 times revive in Extreme E. The rivalry between Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton has been given a second lease of life. In the SUV rally class, the former teammates both have their own teams and here too things literally clash between the two.

Collision Hamilton and Rosberg

At the 2016 Spanish Grand Prix, the rivalry between Hamilton and Rosberg came to a head when they knocked each other out at the start, ultimately allowing Max Verstappen to win his first race. In Extreme E, things almost went wrong on Sunday as well. In the second Extreme E-race, the Ocean X-Prix, Molly Taylor (Rosberg X Racing) and Cristina Gutierrez (X44, Hamilton's team) collided. Gutierrez could not continue her race.
The Rosberg team knows little of the consequences of the collision and Taylor and Johan Kristoffersson eventually win the race. The drivers duo also managed to win the Desert X-Prix earlier on and comfortably leads the championship which is held over a total of five rounds. The next race is the Arctic X-Prix on the 29th of August in Greenland.
