Red Bull Racing will not use its 'Macarena' rear wing this weekend, but the team has introduced an update to its standard rear wing for the Belgian Grand Prix. According to the FIA's car presentation submissions list, Red Bull Racing has arrived at the Belgian Grand Prix with just a single update.
It concerns the rear wing. After the 'Macarena' wing on Max
Verstappen's car was linked to two incidents at the Red Bull Ring and Silverstone over the past two race weekends, the team has reverted to its regular rear wing. It will also feature revised pylon profiles.
"Given the pylons now by regulation contact the mainplane underside, the interface is sensitive and revised with pylon changes to existing element profiles seeking to extract more load and at least maintain flow stability."McLaren and Mercedes also introduce updates
McLaren has also brought updates to its rear wing for the Belgian Grand Prix. The changes include a revised endplate to improve flow conditioning, as well as a new, circuit-specific rear wing assembly.
Mercedes has brought a circuit-specific rear wing change for the Belgian Grand Prix, as well as performance updates to the position and span of the rear corner drum winglets and increased camber on the upper edge of the front wing endplate.
Ferrari remains the only frontrunner team with no updates for the Belgian Grand Prix.
In the midfield battle, every team except Aston Martin has introduced updates for the Belgian Grand Prix. Racing Bulls and Haas lead the way, each bringing four changes.
