All of the frontrunning teams have brought updates to the final race before the summer break, as revealed by the FIA's car submission documents. Aston Martin's first major update package has also arrived.
As announced in their pre-weekend press release,
McLaren has brought four performance-related updates and one track-specific change. The updates include a revised rear wing endplate, a new floor and board, revised front and rear corner furniture, and an increased brake cooling exit.
Red Bull Racing brought three performance-based changes, which also
include the return of the 'Macarena' wing.
"By exploiting the permitted rear wing pylon geometry, the camber of the pylons has been increased to extract a little more load and maintain, even enhance the flow stability," it is explained.
There other changes include a revised diffuser geometry and revised flap element geometry.
Mercedes also brought three changes in total. The German car now has an additional rear wing winglet added on the centre line, a wider bodywork rear exit, and the tail winglet merged into the rear wing brace.
Ferrari has two changes aimed at local load on the rear wing.
"New flaps design with additional trailing edge devices, re-shaped endplate top inboard volume, new pillars. Also, an optional winglet cascade in the SM fairing volume will be available." Aston Martin brings stunning number of changes
As promised, Aston Martin has introduced a comprehensive update package for the
Hungarian Grand Prix. All of the changes are performance-related upgrades for the Adrian Newey-designed AMR26.
The Silverstone-based team changed various things, including the front wing, the front wing endplate, the nose, the front corner, the floor body, fences and edge, the diffuser, the sidepod inlet, the engine cover, the cooling louvres, the rear suspension, the rear corner, the rear wing, the beam wing and the rear wing endplate.
Other than Alpine, every other midfield team has brought at least a singe change to the
Hungaroring as well. See the complete list of updates below!
