Hamilton teases future documentary which will reveal truth behind 2025 Hungarian GP low

The seven-time world champion returns to the scene of where he suffered perhaps his most disappointing weekend in his debut Ferrari season, one which left him telling the media he felt "useless" and that his team "probably needed to change driver".

His comments came on a weekend where he was knocked out in Q2 in 12th, while teammate Charles Leclerc took pole position. In the race, Leclerc finished fourth, while Hamilton finished a lap down, still in 12th.

Reflecting on his struggles from one year ago, Hamilton told GPblog among other media outlets: "I am definitely proud of myself for digging myself out of the place that I was in. And one day, when I do my documentary, I’ll tell you all about that weekend and what led up into it.

Hamilton has taken huge strides in the 2026 season and sits second in the championship, 45 points behind leader Kimi Antonelli.

Despite being one of the best performing drivers this year, when GPblog asked the Briton about the first half of his season, he said that he had only performed "slightly above average" and that there was room for improvement.

He added: "I'm not thinking about the second part, I'm thinking about just this weekend one race at a time. I'm trying to figure out how I can maximise each weekend. I'm generally not thinking about the 10 races ahead."
