Pierre Gasly was hugely responsible for Alpine finding form during the final part of the 2024 season. The Frenchman could perform consistently, and he did that without damaging his car at all: No crashes, no mistakes leading to disappointed mechanics. Gasly reacted to the season where he cost his team '€0'.

'I got Alpine 10 million as well'

A rare occasion that a driver finishes a season without any damages, especially given that the most Grands Prix ever were hosted this year with 24 weekends. When Gasly was asked about whether he deserves a raise, he said. "We'll see," he told GPblog among others in Abu Dhabi.
Moreover, Gasly could finish the race in P7 ahead of Nico Hulkenberg, confirming Alpine's P6 in the constructors' championship. He himself also added that to the money he spared this season. "[Briatore] is going to like that [I didn't damage the car]. But also the 10 million I got them today, so... But this is personal."
The Frenchman was really satisfied with the result, and thanks to gaining two points on his German rival, he could also finish in P10 in the drivers' championship. "That was the clear target. Coming here there were three targets to get sixth in the Constructor, tenth in the Driver and keep my nose clean, so we're still on zero dollar damage and we all completed the targets," the one-time Grand Prix winner said happily.
