Oscar Piastri seemed to cut his radio off while CEO Zak Brown was congratulating him on the Constructors' title win. Piastri,
who had made it clear to the team he was upset at making contact with teammate
Lando Norris at the start, with the Brit overtaking him in the early stages of the race at the Marina Bay Circuit.
Adding to the frustration of the 24-year-old – who finished behind Norris – was a lengthy pit stop later in the race.

Despite the setbacks, Piastri finished in fourth place. However, it was his reaction after the Grand Prix that seemed to capture the attention. The championship leader, while driving his car into Parc Fermé cut off a radio message from team Brown, who was congratulating him for the team's successful defense of the Constructors' championship.

The 53-year-old also highlighted that the team would review the incident properly during their post-race debrief.
The incident left Norris with a slight dent to his front wing endplate; however, it did little to affect the outcome of the British driver’s race.
McLaren have promised to review the incident away from the celebrations at winning the team's back-to-back titles.
Brown's words were a mirror comment of team principal Andrea Stella. The Italian, on his part, explained
why the McLaren team avoided implementing team orders, stating how the clash between Norris and Piastri was a result of a collision involving Max Verstappen.
