The crowd present at the Mexican Grand Prix did not appear to be fans of Lewis Hamilton's P2. Sergio Perez did his best in the race to overtake the Brit, but in the end the Mexican had to settle for third position in his home race. Afterwards, Hamilton was booed heavily by the fans, but Perez was to have none of it.
It is not the first time this season that a driver has been booed by fans. Last week in Austin, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez were called out for cheating by the crowd in the fan zone, this week Hamilton is the victim again.

Perez stands up for Hamilton

Mercedes opted for an alternative strategy in Mexico, but it worked out badly. The team could not maintain the pace of winner Verstappen and had to settle for P2 and P4. After the race, the drivers gave their initial reactions in front of the crowd in the famous stadium section, where Hamilton was received with boos. The Briton said in the interview that it was quite "strange". Perez also reacted by waving his finger at the Mexican crowd.
