Norris on Verstappen Friendship: 'I have others friends'

As the championship battle has gone on, fans have seen many different versions of their friendship. In an attempt to settle the debate, Norris told the media that he and Max Verstappen are not necessarily close friends.

Before the season started, Max Verstappen and Lando Norris looked to be good friends. However, as the season has gone on, things between the two have begun to look more intense, with harsh comments about the other's driving coming into play. Norris has taken an official stance on his friendship (or lack thereof) with Verstappen. Norris said, "Everybody thinks we are better mates than we are; I have other people who are my real friends. My true friends."

While Norris and Verstappen may not be "true friends", there aren't any grudges being held between them. The Briton continued saying Verstappen was "a guy I get along with well off the track. That doesn’t change. I am good at keeping things separate. If someone treats me like s*** on track, it doesn’t mean I will treat them like s*** off the track."

Norris insists that he keeps his personal and work relationships separate. "They are two different worlds".
