“Whoever said don’t meet your heroes”
- Lando Norris
Norris, who is a huge MotoGP fan, was present at the San Marino Grand Prix in Misano. The British driver, enjoying his time off from Formula 1 at the MotoGP race, spent time with Rossi before visiting other riders in their respective paddocks.
The McLaren driver, who is currently locked in an F1 title fight with Oscar Piastri, also visited the Factory Aprilia team, where he met 2024 world champion Jorge Martin. Norris also spent time with Martin’s 2024 title rival, Francesco Bagnaia.
However, the highlight of his visit to the Misano circuit proved to be meeting the seven-time MotoGP champion Rossi. Expressing his delight, Norris captioned the photos of the pair together:
“Whoever said don’t meet your heroes deffo never met Vale 🐐”
Norris also took time to visit the VR46 Racing Team. It’s worth recalling that this is not the first time Norris has shown his admiration for Rossi; during the Italian Grand Prix weekend, he wore an outfit paying tribute to ‘The Doctor.’

Lando Norris’ Monza tribute to Valentino Rossi

During the media day of the Italian Grand Prix in Monza, Lando Norris stormed the Formula 1 paddock sporting a jacket with a fitting tribute to Valentino Rossi.
The 25-year-old, who stunned in a black overall outfit, accompanied it with a jacket with the face of a man with a mischievous smirk on it  – a subtle tribute to the MotoGP icon.
Rossi’s affiliation with four wheels is well documented, and whenever the veteran Italian is away from his MotoGP duties, he is often spotted in the Formula 1 paddock or on other weekends, racing in the World Endurance Racing category, where he owns a team in the LMGT3 category.
