Lando Norris started alongside Max Verstappen on the front row but lost several positions right away after going off track. Although he managed to fight his way back through the field, he wasn’t able to close the gap to Oscar Piastri. The Brit ultimately finished second, behind his teammate and ahead of fellow countryman George Russell. Here’s what Norris had to say about the Miami Grand Prix.
It was close in the first turn of the race between Norris and Verstappen. After a short tussle, both drivers escaped unscathed after a moment which could've caused both drivers to crash. The McLaren driver spoke about the moment after the race.

Norris: 'I paid the price' in Miami

"Max put up a good fight as always and I paid the price, but it's the way it is," the Brit began on the way to the podium in Miami.
He elaborated on the moment in a discussion with 2009 F1 world champion Jenson Button. "What can I say? If I don't go for it, people complain. If I go for it, people complain, so you can't win.
"But it is the way it is with Max, it's crash or don't pass. Unless you get it really right and you put him in the perfect position, then you can just about get there. I paid the price for not doing a good enough job today, but I'm still happy with second," Norris reacted after the race in Miami.

Norris reflects on second place in Miami

Regarding his second-place result, Norris admitted that it was bittersweet. "It's never the best feeling but the team have done an amazing job, so I can't fault them at all. Good pit stops, great pace, we were up the road. It was a good feeling but Oscar drove well."
