Verstappen is proudest of his family: 'That's the most important thing

In a conversation with F1 magazine, Verstappen is asked what he is most proud of. It’s not the victories, Verstappen said: “That’s the little one at home. That’s the most fun and the most important. Our daughter Lily is my greatest prize. Family is the most important thing to me, no matter what.”

Lily was born in the run-up to the 2025 Miami Grand Prix. Verstappen tries to spend as much time with his family as possible and finds it difficult when he has to close the front door behind him and leave home.

Earlier, the four-time world champion spoke about his legacy. He hopes to make children believe and see that anything is possible, as long as you work hard for it.

One of the ways Verstappen wants to help young people is through Verstappen Racing. With this, he aims to guide young talents in making the transition from sim racing to real-world racing. “That we can scout talents in the sim world and give them a chance in a real car. Those are goals I’m pursuing, of course alongside expanding my own racing team, Verstappen Racing.”
