Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris have only nine points separating them in their championship battle. After the Hungarian GP, they were asked how tough they expected the second half of the season to be.
As Norris crossed the line first with Piastri in second, the gap between the two McLaren drivers shrank. Norris now has the chance to take the lead if he places first with Piastri third or lower.

In the after-race press conference, Norris and Piastri weighed in on how mentally tough they were expecting the championship fight to get.
Norris said, "It's already tough, and it's going to continue to be tough."
"It's pretty small margins between us. I'm sure there's some things I can do better on and improve on, and I'm sure he'll probably say a similar thing. So, it's going to be a good and tough battle probably till the end."
He continued, "It takes a lot out of you trying to focus so much for every single session, race. It's going to be a long second half of the season, I'm sure, but at the same time, I'm looking forward to a nice break, a bit of time to rest. And, yeah, try and come back even better because there are those things I need to improve on and want to improve on."

The Briton has been very vocal about his struggles with the pressure he puts himself under and how hard it is on him when he loses.
Norris then said, "I'm not giving myself the best opportunities. Even though the results have looked great, I'm not making my life very easy for myself at the minute. So if I can work on those things, then I'll be in a better place."
Norris' teammate, Piastri, did not have much to add to that, saying, "Very much the same. I think it's going to be a tough second half of the year. It has been tough already, and the margins are very fine. So, I think it's going to be great watching."
While Norris is known for being vocal about how he is feeling, Piastri is not quite the same. The two both have different ways of expressing themselves. While Piastri does not agree with the nickname, some fans have dubbed him Iceman JR. (after Kimi Räikkönen) due to his 'calm and collected' behaviour.
