Ex-Formula One driver Kevin Magnussen was involved in a heated confrontation with another driver, telling them to "f*** off" after making his NASCAR Cup Series debut.
The fiery Magnussen looked at home in the NASCAR paddock after exchanging words with Noah Gragson, after the two drivers were involved in multiple incidents during the Anduril 250 in San Diego.
Magnussen first hit the back of Gragson on Lap 25, after he broke later than the American going into a corner. The two drivers then banged sides on the straight with Gragson aggressively blocking a move, with their battle lasting for several laps. Magnussen took to the radio under a caution which shortly followed saying: "I'm stuck behind this guy. I don't know who he is."
Later in the race, Magnussen got underneath Gragson at a sweeping right-hand corner and again made contact with the American. Gragson spun and slammed into the wall suffering race-ending damage. Magnussen, who drove for McLaren, Renault and Haas during his nine seasons in F1, ultimately finished the 39 car race in 27th. However, he set the fastest lap and ran inside the top 20 for a large part of the race.

After the race, Gragson waited on pit road to confront Magnussen, leading to a heated explicit row between the two drivers.
Gragson was heard asking "What's your f***ing problem?" before telling Magnussen "you hit me once and then again". Magnussen was seen giving it back to Gragson, who replied "you guys come over here, you f***ing drive off into the corner, just because you got fenders on it."
"Get the f*** out of my face," Magnussen said in response. He then repeatedly told Gragson to "f*** off" and "get out of my face."
Gragson continued to press the issue, saying: "Or what, what are you gonna do?" He repeatedly asked Magnussen what his problem was, and Magnussen replied: "My problem is you in my face." Gragson continued to scold Magnussen who was then heard saying "You don't understand English, or what? I'm saying f*** off."
With the heated exchange going nowhere, a PR rep ultimately stepped in to separate the two drivers with Gragson walking away from the Danish driver. Speaking after the race as per Frontstretch, Magnussen told reporters that Gragson said a "whole lot of things I can't say on camera". He added: " He was playing a bit stupid out there. He could've had a good race, but he chose not to. I felt like I was in a fistfight the whole race through. Honestly, everyone was driving so well. It's tough racing. You can't mess around, you'll find out. I like that kind of racing. Big respect to everyone, except that one guy."

Huge crash in Nascar race

Meanwhile, a huge 19 car incident took place at the first NASCAR race at the Colorado naval base earlier in the weekend. The incident took place in NASCAR's O'Reilly Auto Parts Series.
The incident occurred in the third stage of the United Rentals Driven to Serve 250. Sam Mayer hit the inside wall in Turn 1 with his Haas Factor Team Chevrolet, after which his car abruptly shot left and made contact with Anthony Alfredo. The two cars then slammed hard into the outside wall, leaving much of the field with nowhere to go. According to the American TV broadcast, a total of nineteen cars were ultimately involved in the pileup.
