Racing Bulls have announced that Alan Permane has signed a long-term contract extension, keeping him as team principal and Co-CEO Sporting until the end of 2031.
The announcement secures continuity at the Red Bull-owned outfit as they fight for fifth place in the Constructors’ Championship, which would represent their best-ever finish.
Permane joined Racing Bulls as racing director in January 2024, initially working alongside Laurent Mekies, before taking over as team principal in July 2025.
Under his leadership, the team claimed their first podium under the VCARB name at the 2025 Dutch Grand Prix and finished sixth in that year’s Constructors’ Championship, matching their previous best result.
Racing Bulls have since established themselves as regular points scorers, with fifth place still within reach this season.

Permane: ‘We are not done yet’
Reacting to his extension, Permane thanked Red Bull for its backing and praised the staff across the team’s bases.
“I am immensely proud to be continuing this journey with VCARB, and I would like to thank everyone at Red Bull for the trust and support they have given me,” he said.
“What makes this team special is the shared spirit of everyone; trackside, in Faenza and in Milton Keynes, and it is a privilege to lead such a talented and committed group every day.”
Despite the team’s progress, Permane stressed that there is more to achieve.

“Fighting for fifth in the Championship is something we should all be very proud of, but it is the result of years of hard work from a lot of people, and we are not done yet. We have the right people, the right culture and a clear sense of where we want to go, and I am excited to keep pushing together.”
