Max Verstappen and his crew claimed a dominant victory at the ADAC Barbarossapreis, after the Dutchman had already secured pole position earlier in the day.
Verstappen made a strong launch from pole, holding the lead into Turn 1 and immediately trying to break clear of Christopher Haase’s Audi in the opening phase.
The lead soon changed hands, though, as the Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II found its way past on the straight, with Haase moving ahead before settling into a defensive rhythm, even as the Mercedes behind showed stronger pace through the more technical sections of the Nordschleife.
Around the one-hour mark, during the first round of pit stops, Verstappen struck back, reclaiming the lead with a move on the straight before diving into the pit lane at the head of the field.

From there, his team-mates Daniel Juncadella and later Jules Gounon kept control of the race, maintaining a comfortable buffer at the front and managing the gap to the chasing pack.
By the time Verstappen returned to the car for the final stint, the margin remained solid, allowing the Dutchman to rejoin in control and cruise to the chequered flag, sealing victory for his team. Here is the full report.
*Verstappen and his team were subsequently disqualified for exceeding the permitted tyre allocation during the race.
