The opening race of the European part of the Formula 1 season will be contested without Toto Wolff present. The Mercedes team principal will not travel to Imola, where the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix will take place in just over a week's time.
Toto Wolff had previously announced that he would not be present at every race this season. The Austrian was already absent at the Japanese Grand Prix earlier this season. Next week in Imola, he will not be present once again.
Bradley Lord, the Team Representative of Mercedes, will serve as the point of contact for the German team just as in Suzuka. Lord is a well-established figure in the paddock, with decades of experience and has been Wolff's mainstay for years.
Throughout the season, he will replace the team principal on several occasions. It is not yet known which races the Austrian team principal will miss during the rest of 2025.

Undoubtedly, Wolff will closely follow the Grand Prix at the Imola circuit from home in Monaco. His team, Mercedes, are in increasingly better shape and now seem to be the second team behind McLaren over a full race distance. George Russell finished third last weekend in Miami, behind the McLarens of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris.
