Lando Norris has been called to the stewards after a dangerous situation happened during the first free practice of the Miami Grand Prix. The McLaren driver was noted for release of car 4 in unsafe conditions. Lando Norris's start to the Miami Grand Prix weekend was not good. The Briton was sent onto the track with a flashlight and a wrench still in his cockpit.
Over his radio, Norris said, "You've left so many tools in the cockpit, everything's just falling apart. I'll have to box this lap."
Things only seemed to get worse for him as later on in the session he as impeded by Haas driver, Esteban Ocon and then had to abort his last lap due to a red flag caused by Oliver Bearman. his teammate, Oscar Piastri was able to top the session as the fastest driver.
Stewards Investigating Norris Incident
The FIA has announced an investigation into the incident. The official document states that a team representative must report to the stewards for 'Alleged breach of Article 34.14 c) of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations, Potential release of Car 4 in an unsafe condition at 12:34.
They are to report to the Stewards at 18:45 BST.
