Oscar Piastri has been summoned by the stewards following the final practice session at the Japanese Grand Prix.
The McLaren driver is under investigation for an incident involving Audi’s Nico Hülkenberg, after Piastri appeared to impede the German on a push lap at Turn 15 of the Suzuka Circuit.
The Australian driver is expected to report to the stewards alongside a McLaren team representative at 13:00 local time.

McLaren’s Japan FP3 woes continue

This steward visit comes after McLaren endured another difficult session during the 2026 campaign. Piastri’s teammate, Lando Norris, was forced to miss a large portion of the crucial FP3 session due to a problem with his energy recovery system (ERS).

Norris returned to the session with about 20 minutes remaining and managed a lap quick enough for sixth place.
