Andreas Seidl has set a clear goal for his
McLaren team when
Formula 1 racing returns after the summer break. He would like
McLaren to beat
Pierre Gasly in the F1 world championship at the end of the season.
 Following on from the
Hungarian Grand Prix,
Carlos Sainz is now just five points behind the
Red Bull driver and has outscored him over the last four races. McLaren is now comfortably the leaders of the midfield battle but boss Seidl continues to push the whole team.
"The only drivers [Sainz] can still overtake is Gasly and we are going to try to make that happen," he tells the Spanish newspaper AS.
"Even though the Red Bull is a lot faster than our car, we won't stop trying it. But it will be difficult. We are very happy with our drivers, that's why we committed them so early for 2020."
