Martin Brundle believes that Red Bull will be desperate for their upgrades as they continue to try and bridge the gap between themselves and Mercedes. The team have been performing well but will be boosted by their upgrades which are set to come in for Barcellona.
"Red Bull has an engine upgrade for Baku and a major aero upgrade for Barcelona, which can't come soon enough," Brundle said in his Sky F1 column.
"Pierre Gasly had a better day in sixth in his Red Bull with a late fastest lap championship point for both driver and team, but he was still a long way behind Verstappen which leaves the team with one hand tied behind their backs tactically.
"They'll only tolerate that so long, which leaves Pierre with some fast-tracking to do."
Gasly has continued to improve each race but it is vital that he continues this development and become a genuine threat to Max Verstappen.
