For years, they were an inseparable duo: Michael Schumacher and his flamboyant business manager Willy Weber. But after the former Formula 1 world champion's tragic skiing accident - now a decade ago - Weber has been unable to visit his old pupil. Weber (81) fears he will never be able to see Schumacher again.
The story is familiar: since the accident, Michael Schumacher has been treated at home and little is known about his exact state of health. The Schumacher family has not let on about one of the best drivers ever in Formula 1 for years. Weber also does not hear anything about Michael, and neither is a visit to the former Benetton, Ferrari and Mercedes driver.

Weber would have loved to have visited Schumacher

That hurts. "When I think of Michael now, I unfortunately have no hope of seeing him again. I have not received any positive news for ten years," Weber told German newspaper Express. The German manager himself says he must be getting to the point where he has to let go of Schumacher because of this.

By the way, Weber still regrets not visiting Michael Schumacher at the hospital in Grenoble immediately after the accident. "Of course, I very much regret that and blame myself. I should have visited Michael in the hospital," Weber admitted in the interview. "I grieved immensely after his accident."
