LIVE | Day three of the 2022 Formula 1 pre-season test in Bahrain

The final test day of the Formula 1 preseason has arrived. Saturday is day three of the winter test in Bahrain. On this day most drivers will be in action on the track.

Red Bull Racing swap the schedule compared to the first winter test in Barcelona. Perez will take on the morning session, followed by Verstappen. The reigning world champion will conclude the test days in the afternoon.

So far it is mainly Ferrari that have impressed. Yet the fastest time on Friday went to Kevin Magnussen, who made an immediate strong start on his comeback to Haas. Mercedes did not have a problem-free Friday, after the team surprised friend and foe with (or without?) the special sidepods on the W13. The balance was not yet as it should be, as Lewis Hamilton revealed after the second day of testing.

For Red Bull Racing, updates are scheduled for Saturday. According to Adrian Newey, both Verstappen and Perez will drive with new parts.
