Arvid Lindblad made his debut at Silverstone in an official Formula 1 session. The Brit drove for Red Bull Racing, where he joined Max Verstappen in the first free practice session. On Monday, Racing Bulls are holding a filming day at the Imola circuit, where Lindblad will also be in action. Every year, a Formula 1 team may drive a maximum of 200 kilometers during filming days. Racing Bulls had already organized a filming day earlier this year, but the maximum 200 kilometers had not yet been fully utilised.
Liam Lawson and
Isack Hadjar will be in action in the VCARB 02, this year's car. The Italian racing team can both create footage on the filming day, and make miles in the current Formula 1 car.
However, no updates set to be introduced later in the season can be integrated on the car. The real performance of the car will not be clear on a filming day, as they will be driven with Pirelli compounds that are significantly different from the official tyres that can be allocated for an F1 weekend.
Lindblad tests again in a Formula 1 Car
Lindblad is also present at Racing Bulls' filming day. Unlike the team's current drivers, the Brit will be in action in an older car. He will drive in the AlphaTauri AT04, the car in which AlphaTauri – as the team was named before it underwent a name change – participated in Formula 1 in 2023.
Lindblad already drove the AT04 last month. During the filming day, he can cover more miles, so that later in the season he can also drive his first FP1 for Racing Bulls.
Finally, there is also an older car from the team present at the circuit. The very first Toro Rosso STR1 from 2006 also briefly took to the track. The owner of the car drove a few laps around the circuit, thus celebrating the twentieth anniversary of Red Bull Racing.
