"In six months time will be end of the season, so probably a title would be nice but i'm not sure he will be willing to give me a title," he told GPblog among other media in Melbourne.

He then added: "It's super nice, it's a very important moment of my life and we spoke about it briefly with Lewis. It's those moments that are outside of racing, but that will remain one of the most important moments of my life. So it was really nice."

The seven-time world champion admitted that the competitive picture remains unclear at this stage, noting that Mercedes look particularly quick while suggesting Red Bull may not have revealed its full potential yet.

Despite the uncertainty, he stressed that the situation makes the start of the season especially exciting and expressed confidence in the group around him, praising the team’s focus and determination to keep extracting performance and make the most of every race weekend.
