Lewis Hamilton believes Red Bull have yet to show their true hand after Bahrain testing and still have plenty in reserve.
“We don’t really know where everyone stands yet, Mercedes look particularly quick, and I’m not really sure we’ve seen the full unleashed Red Bull yet”

Hamilton convinced Red Bull hid its true pace in Bahrain testing

Speaking during the press conference on media day ahead of the Melbourne Grand Prix weekend, the seven-time world champion said the target for this season is to win, while also highlighting Mercedes’ strength and suggesting Red Bull may not have shown their true pace yet.
“The goal is to win. That’s what everyone is working towards, every team is, but that’s our objective — to maximise every opportunity, to be lean and hopefully be fighting at the front already in the first races.
“We don’t really know where everyone stands yet, Mercedes look particularly quick, and I’m not really sure we’ve seen the full unleashed Red Bull yet. It’s all really exciting, but whatever happens I feel like I’ve got a great group of people behind me who are fully focused on bringing performance and maximising everything from every weekend.”

Hamilton insists Ferrari ‘has everything to win’ after brutal 2025

Speaking to Corriere della Sera, Hamilton admitted he is determined to rediscover the joy of racing after a difficult 2025 season that left him questioning whether he had done enough to change the course of events.
The Briton stressed that Ferrari have all the ingredients needed to fight for victories, but acknowledged that turning that potential into results will require a collective effort alongside the team’s passionate fanbase. That belief, he explained, was the reason behind his decision to join the Scuderia — and it remains just as strong today.
