Ferrari has concluded a two-day wet tyre Pirelli test in their 2025 challenger at their very own Fiorano circuit. Charles Leclerc took to the track today, whilst reserve driver Zhou Guanyu drove yesterday as they tested both intermediate and full wet tyres for the upcoming 2026 season.
Pirelli Director of Motorsport, Mario Isola, thanked Ferrari for their efforts before delving into the day of running.
“First of all, I want to thank Ferrari for their hospitality and technical support as well as for the commitment from their drivers,” Isola began.
It's been a busy week for Leclerc, who jumped straight into testing after attending the F1 movie premiere in New York after the Canadian Grand Prix last Sunday, where he finished fifth. You can see why these seven drivers missed the premiere by clicking here.

Pirelli praise Ferrari for 'very useful' 2026 test days

“These two days of testing have been very useful, allowing us to round off the on-track development work for next year’s intermediate and full wet tyres. Now we will carefully analyse all the data and finalise the definitive solutions. It’s never easy working on the development of rain tyres, because it’s hard to consistently replicate track conditions, and temperature also plays an important part. That’s even more the case this year because the mule cars obviously cannot fully replicate the loads and behaviour expected from the cars built to the new 2026 regulations.
In 2026, regulations will change drastically, with both the engines and chassis being dramatically overhauled. New teams Audi (replacing Sauber) and Cadillac will enter the sport, with Ford providing powertrains to Red Bull.
"We had to make the best of the situation, and I think we have obtained some interesting results, which, next year, will allow us to provide teams with an improved product, both in terms of performance and the operating window, when compared to the current tyres,” Isola concluded.

Pirelli will test for 2026 once again after the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. In a wet tyre test for 2026 at Silverstone in May, Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli went off track at the Luffield corner. You can watch the footage here.
