Red Bull Racing's chief advisor has garnered the reputation for being ruthless when it comes to driver selection. Red Bull's newest star adamantly rejects those claims.
Speaking on the Beyond the Grid, Isack Hadjar has debunked the claims that paint Marko in a ruthless light when it comes to selecting the drivers who will make it past the Red Bull Junior development programme and into Formula One.
After stating that despite his first Formula 2 season where the now Racing Bulls driver finished 14th in the standings and last of the Red Bull junior talents the Austrian advisor continued to believe in him, Hadjar revealed the methodical approach Marko has in terms of developing the Red Bull juniors.

Marko gave Hadjar the cold shoulder

Hadjar who was known for his intense emotionality, which has shifted to a more prudent approach as of his F1 debut, was left to fend for himself by Marko. A wise move, the French Algerian now believes.
"I didn't have much [contact with Marko], he was letting me going through it, which I think was good, adding extra stress on me, which I think was smart," explained Hadjar.
"We had six in the junior programme that year. I was last of all the six, and I was the only guy remaining for the upcoming season."
Hadjar has now moved on to add 21 points to his 2025 F1 season tally and is now placed 10th in the championship standings.
