Daniil Kvyat is now a member of the Alpine F1 team. Last season, Kvyat raced for AlphaTauri but was pushed out of the door as Helmut Marko opted to put in Yuki Tsunoda and keep Pierre Gasly in the Red Bull junior team.
On the day the French team launched their 2021 F1 challenger, they also confirmed Kvyat's place on the team. The Russian has started 110 Grands Prix and recorded a podium in 2015, 2016 and 2019. The former Red Bull Racing Driver confirms he is pleased to sign for Alpine.

"I am very excited to join the Alpine F1 Team family. The team have achieved some great results in the past year and is very technologically advanced. The development has been strong and I am aiming to contribute to this positive trend," Kvyat said in the official announcement.
"I will try to bring my experience on and off the track to help develop the A521 and future cars as well. As a reserve driver, you need to keep sharp, and I look forward to integrating into the team in several different areas."
