Former Red Bull chief engineer Dan Fallows has spoken about Max Verstappen’s chances of staying in Milton Keynes now that Christian Horner is no longer leading the team.
The former Aston Martin technical director originally joined the Milton Keynes team back in 2006 as the lead for aerodynamics, before being promoted to chief engineer in 2014, a position he held until 2022.
There’s been long-standing speculation about a possible move to Mercedes for Max Verstappen. Although Verstappen’s preference is to stay at Milton Keynes, as confirmed by GPBlog, his future still hangs in the balance.

Fallows weighs in on Verstappen's situation

As a guest on the James Allen on F1 podcast, Fallows attempted to answer the question: ''That's very difficult to say. Drivers are first and foremost competitors. He will be looking to be in a team that can give him a car that means he can compete.''
''He's obviously on the inside. He sees more his team, his father sees more than perhaps we do. They will have a read on whether they think that's going to be capable. Clearly, a team that's in a little bit of flux as they are now is more of a risk maybe than a team that's been stable.''
''So I'm sure that's a factor, but it's an incredibly difficult decision. Also, I don't know what their contractual situation is as well. I think there's an inherent risk in moving team as well.''
