While Nico Hulkenberg has achieved a key milestone at the British Grand Prix with finishing on the podium, but the German has been consistent throughout the previous four Grands Prix as well. So much so, he has scored more points than Red Bull Racing recently.
The German driver has been consistently finishing inside the points over the previous weekends, showing the progress made by the Sauber team before its complete transformation to Audi the upcoming year.
Looking at the three Grands Prix before the one in Silverstone, he finished fifth in P5 in Barcelona, eighth in Canada and then ninth at the Red Bull Ring. (Moreover, rookie Gabriel Bortoleto himself could also score his first points in Austria.)
With Yuki Tsunoda's last points coming from Imola, and Max Verstappen having a DNF in Austria and a 10-second time penalty back at the Spanish Grand Prix, this means Hulkenberg has scored more points in total with this podium finish over the last four races.

Hulkenberg reacts to outperforming the Austrians

This was also pointed out to the German at the post-race press conference in Silverstone.
Asked how much more can he do taking into account his first ever podium as well, he responded: "You want even more? Jesus! I think that's pretty good for starters today."
He continued: "If we had a dry race, it would have been a very different day and outcome for us. Whilst we've made some really good improvements since Barcelona, today is obviously circumstantial, and the conditions made this race and this result possible. But I feel in the midfield fight we've definitely gained some momentum, and we are a serious competitor there. That's where our fight is, but it's always about maximizing every race, every weekend, and just trying to do well."
