Horner on Albon's future: 'Are looking at options in Formula 1'

Today it was officially announced that Sergio Perez will be Max Verstappen's teammate at Red Bull next year as well. The Mexican is now certain of his seat. Pierre Gasly also knows where he stands. This does not apply to Alexander Albon however.

Speaking to Autosport.com team boss Christian Horner that Albon will still play a big role in the Red Bull team, even after this news.

That, of course, is the question. There will certainly be some seats in the midfield that will become vacant, and Albon is a contender for that. Horner is willing to think with him if that situation arises.

So for Albon, his future for next year seems to be between a seat in the middle or rear of F1 or another year in his current role at Red Bull.
