Honda's form variation under investigation

Pierre Gasly had completely opposite results in Bahrain and China. Two races that were just one week apart.

Toyoharu Tanabe admits he’s unsure about why the results have been up and down. Many fans and pundits believe the 4th place finish was one of the biggest flukes the sport has seen this decade.

“I think the result in China came from the Toro Rosso Honda package,” said Honda technical director Tanabe.

One area that Honda has definitely improved on is their reliability. They’ve had just one engine problem that ended Gasly’s race in Australia.
