Niki Lauda remains positive and optimistic the current World Champion
Lewis Hamilton will eventually sign a deal to stay at Mercedes.
Contract talks between Hamilton and Mercedes have seemed to rumble on forever now, and Lauda suggests “it’s just about the details” before a deal can be finalised.
“Lewis will continue to drive for us,” confirmed the F1 legend.
“Depending on the mood, it is sometimes more or less expensive.
“It always depends on how the race went.
“But the money is not a problem - we agree in principle.”
It’s rumoured that Ricciardo will move to either Mercedes or Ferrari. With Bottas only on a 1-year deal, it’s likely that Mercedes have been planning this for a while.
