Saturday morning's Formula 3 race in Belgium was halted for a while due to a red flag situation. Zane Maloney and Oliver Goethe collided hard, with the former driver in particular lucky to get out safely after the crash.
Maloney was on the inside of the turn when both drivers collided. As a result, they headed for the side of the track, where there was a lot of gravel. It was Maloney who hit the wall first, and Goethe did the same.
The Trident driver went over the top. While his car flew through the air, it hit Goethe's car again, making the impact even harder. Eventually, Maloney's car straightened out and he was able to leave his car after a short time.

Red flag after crash

Race control decided to intervene immediately and halt the race to allow the drivers to get out safely and the track to be cleaned. After half an hour, the race organisers decided to allow the race to continue.
