Yuki Tsunoda finally managed to put together a strong qualifying performance at Spa, securing seventh place, helped by upgrades introduced to his car just before the session began.
It may not be pole position, but Yuki Tsunoda can still be satisfied with his seventh-place qualifying result, especially considering the significantly smaller gap to Max Verstappen this time.
Thanks to the upgrades introduced to his RB21 just before the session, the Japanese driver appeared much more comfortable with the car, finally making it back into Q3 after a string of disappointing eliminations in recent Grands Prix.

Speaking with GPBlog and other media, Tsunoda expressed satisfaction with his performance in yesterday’s qualifying: ''I'm happy with it, and also that they brought me the upgrades just before qualifying, so that was big enough to be in this position.''
''Also, still some bits to go, but the floor was big enough anyway. Certainly, I feel much better.''
When asked if he had also been fitted with the newest rear wing, Yuki replied: ''I can't say which part but the floor we got it. I can't say which part, it's still delta, but the floor was the biggest part.''
Finally, the Japanese driver added: ''With scrapped tyres I was quite lost. But also when I saw the rest of the field, they were struggling as well.''
''So having only one set and going into that situation, we had a lot of pressure, but also at the same time enjoyed that kind of situation. Already being in the Q3 was a win, so just enjoyed the session and pleased with the position.''
