The main Formula 3 race was scheduled to begin at 08:30, but chaos unfolded during the formation lap, prompting an immediate red flag due to the extreme conditions. After a few laps behind the Safety Car, race control has announced that the race will not be resumed.
For Sunday at Spa-Francorchamps, heavy rain was forecast, especially in the morning. The main Formula 3 race started as planned, with the formation lap taking place behind the safety car.
However, the conditions soon proved to be unmanageable for the young drivers. Several of them went off the track during the lap behind the safety car.
James Hedley was the first driver to end up in the wall at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. He was followed by MP Motorsport's Tim Tramnitz, who spun.
Both Hedley and Tramnitz were able to continue their way. Brando Badoer, however, was left facing the wrong way on track after an incident and had to step out of his car.

A red flag was quickly brought out on track in the Belgian Ardennes. The F3 cars are currently waiting in the pit lane, with expectations still leaning toward a race restart once the rain eases.
Update: the race will resume at 9:05 AM local time, but behind the safety car.
After a few laps behind the safety car, the red flag was shown again as drivers continued to report poor visibility. Now race control has announced that the race will not be resumed.

Currently, according to the latest FIA forecasts, there is a 40% chance of light rain when the Grand Prix starts, with the race set to start at 3:00 PM local time.

Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 21 degrees Celsius, with 17 degrees expected for the start of the race.
