Jolyon Palmer has turned 28 years old today, as the former Renault driver has turned into a BBC Sport pundit since being left without a drive during the 2017 season.
Palmer has a total of three seasons of experience in F1 - two as a driver at Renault and one more as a test driver for Lotus.
His debut for Renault, which also was the team's comeback as a works team in F1, saw Palmer getting an impressive P11 in Australia in 2016. His best result would be P6 in Singapore in 2017.
Nico Hülkenberg joined Palmer in 2017 and started dominating the Brit in terms of performance. It was rather obvious Palmer wasn't cut from the same cloth as The Hulk, and he got replaced by Toro Rosso's Carlos Sainz after the 2017 Japanese Grand Prix. In his final race to date in F1, Palmer scored a P12 for Renault.
