Verstappen shares Kelly Piquet's thoughts on adding GT race after F1 tripleheader
Next weekend, while there will be an off-weekend in Formula 1, Verstappen will still be in action. The Dutchman is set to drive for his own GT team at the Portimao circuit in Portugal. Verstappen was asked how Kelly Piquet reacted to the news.
He told GPblog, among others:"I think it helps that she comes out of a family that races a lot, you know, so I think she can understand a lot better. You always try to also combine stuff, so even if, let's say, you will be racing, maybe you can combine it with going around with the family a little bit, even in a race weekend like that, so we're trying to see what we can do there.
"But at the same time, also, she knows that I need to feel good and just be happy also, from both sides. So, we just try to always find compromizes from my side, from her side, and try to spend as much time together. She doesn't mind it, I think she likes racing. It's not that she's against it, so that helps."

Russell reveals even worse news on top of Singapore GP grid penalty
After his power unit issue at the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia, Russell is set for a grid drop on Sunday at the Marina Bay Street Circuit. Today, he added that he will have to take another grid penalty later on this year.
"The engine wasn't stretched too long. It was the sixth race of the engine and obviously you have four engines a year, six races per engine when you split it up. We actually put that engine in on Sunday in Budapest, so it was actually, you know, it was the sixth race minus qualifying and the practice sessions of Budapest.
"We were waiting to take the engine penalty with the ADUO update, but obviously, unfortunately, we've had to take it here. With seven races remaining, that's longer than the engines are designed for. Unfortunately, it means I'll be taking another penalty at some point between next race and the end of the season. It feels a little bit one thing after another right now, but that's just how the cookie crumbles."
