Lewis Hamilton came home P5 in the Monaco Grand Prix, albeit 45 seconds behind the front runners. A dissatisfacory result that hangs on Saturday's penalty, but looking ahead to the Spanish Grand Prix, the Briton isn't too hopeful about his cances there either.
After a mix-up in the tools, Hamilton was given contradictory orders during Saturday's qualifying session for the Monaco Grand Prix which resulted in a three-place grid drop for the race. A circumstance the Ferrari driver could've done without.

Hamilton rues penalty he had no fault in

"P4 is at least positive, but... Yeah, frustrating to have been put out of it with a penalty [that was] not my fault," he said to media like GPblog after the race.
For the Monaco Grand Prix the FIA introduced a mandatory two pitstops rule, which Hamilton did not see making much of a difference, at least with his race.
"I can't comment on other people's but for me it didn't really make a big difference necessarily for me." As for his thoughts on them being implemented again next year, he said: "I would imagine it was better for the race. Because people would just stop and go forever and hold everyone out driving slow."
"Last week was good, this week's not been so great as you can see. Performance wise, qualifying fourth was not bad."

Hamilton writes off good result in Spain already?

In Spain the revised TD018 set to restrict front wing flexion will be implemented and some believe this will be a game changer, like the Scuderia's team principal Frederic Vasseur. However, Hamilton, apparently disagrees with the Frenchman's view.
"It definitely will have an effect. It affects balance a little bit, but I don't think it's massive. It affects everyone pretty much the same so I can't see it making much difference."
